Security Technical Advisor
(Technical Services)

Position Status: Permanent 

Salary Range: Competitive – dependent on skills/experience + Bonus and benefits package 

Location: Home-based with required travel to client sites and meetings.

Role Overview 

We are looking for a motivated, highly capable Security Technical Advisor to join our Technical Services team. Reporting to the Technical Delivery Director, you will support a range of client projects, provide technical expertise, and help deliver high-quality security outcomes. 

This is a varied role involving home-based working with travel to client sites and meetings as required. It would suit someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, client-focused approach and enjoys working across multiple programmes in a collaborative environment. 

Your Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in a technical or security-related discipline.
  • Recognised Fire & Security engineering qualification (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of the design, installation, and maintenance of security systems.
  • Ability to assess and challenge third-party installers and maintainers.
  • Membership of a recognised professional body (ASC, The Security Institute, IPSA) is advantageous.
  • Provide expert technical security advice to clients.
  • Assess and audit security solutions against client requirements and recognised industry standards.
  • Review third-party specifications, quotations, and drawings from both a technical and cost assurance perspective.
  • Produce security system design drawings and high-quality technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisation and time management with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with Bluebeam or similar system design drawing software (desirable).
  • Deliver tailored technical reports and project documentation.
  • Provide training, briefings, and technical guidance where required.
  • Work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team.
  • Confident working across multiple programmes in a fast-paced environment.

Application Process

Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate their right to work in the UK and provide proof of a valid driving licence, access to appropriate transportation, and a valid passport or equivalent. 

Successful candidates will also be required to pass BPSS and BS7858 security screening, sponsored by the company, before employment commences. Additional higher-level security screening may be required depending on specific client needs.
