 Make a Difference (MAD) Days

Uncategorised

Insights 2 February 2026 Make a Difference (MAD) Days A people-first approach to security and social value. In the world of security, the focus is often on systems, standards, and controls, whilst these obviously matter they are only one part of the picture. At its core, security is about people, their experiences, and the communities that shape the places we help protect. MAD (Make a Difference) Days were created with that understanding in mind. MAD Days give our people the space to step away from routine work and support initiatives that strengthen public safety, awareness, and community wellbeing. The days are not designed as large gestures or formal programmes, they are simply a thoughtful way for us to stay connected to the people and causes that sit behind the environments we design.   Here at LMS our team are able to take paid time away from their day to day role and contribute to the community. Our continued involvement with Stamp Out Spiking reflects this approach. Taking part in their Westminster roundtable was one of several ways we contributed, joining important conversations around awareness, reporting, and protection for victims of drink/drug related spiking – an issue that directly affects how safe people feel in shared spaces. Our team also supported the Prince of Wales Hospice by helping prepare the grounds for their Sunset Stroll Memory Walk. Spending time on practical tasks may seem like a modest contribution, but it plays a meaningful role in helping local organisations deliver experiences that matter to their communities. MAD Days are not standalone activities. They reflect how LMS see our responsibility to contribute where we can, give time to others, share the load,  and to remain connected to the communities we work alongside. Previous Post
